1- Chittorgarh Fort
About- We will start with the iconic fort of Chittorgarh, considered the jewel of this beautiful city. This fort is huge in stature and size and it also houses most of the major attractions of this city. The fort stands on top of a hill looking down majestically towards the landscape that surrounds it. Built in the 7th century it covers an area of almost 700 acres. As we have mentioned, you can find most of the major attractions inside the fort itself such as The Vijay stamp, Kirti Stambh, Meera Mandir, etc. We will discuss these in brief in the list. When the fort was built it had 84 water bodies inside but now only 22 remain which is still a big number. Due to the existence of these water bodies, the fort was nicknamed the ‘Water Fort’. 2- Rana Kumbha Palace
About- This palace is one of the major attractions which is housed inside the Chittorgarh Fort. Now faded and in almost ruins, this palace will still give you a glimpse of its glory. A palace is known for two things, its infrastructure and the people who lived in it. This palace is not behind as it has some grand history and famous historical figures attached to it. Bappa Rawal, Maharana Kumbha, Rani Padmini, and Princess Meera Bai are just to name a few. it is claimed to be one of the most haunted places to visit in Chittorgarh.
While talking about the history and the legend of this palace, if we move towards the dungeon of this palace you will surely remember the legend of Rani Padmini and other women of the palace who committed Jauhar. Another legend that is associated with this palace is the sacrifice of Panna Dhai, who saved infant Udai Singh by sacrificing her own infant son. 3- Kirti Stambh (Tower of Fame)
About- This magnificent seven stories structure stands tall to this day inside the massive Chittorgarh Fort. This tower was built in the 12t century and is dedicated to Adinath Ji, the first Jain Tirthankar. There are carvings of naked figures depicting the Diagambars as it reflects the beliefs and the culture of the Digambar. The steep stairwell inside the tower leads to the top to a view of the environs of Chittorgarh.

4- Vijay Stambh (Tower of Victory)
About- What’s more important than leaving your legacy behind for the coming generations? The Vijay stambh as the name signifies was built by Maharana Kumbha to commemorate his victory over Mohammad Khilji. It was built in 1440 AD and still stands mighty and tall. There are carvings of the Hindi deities which depict the historical traditions and portray the victory of good over evil. Just like the Kirti Stambh the Vijay Stambh also has a steep staircase that leads to the top to a breath-taking view of the whole village. 5- Padmini’s Palace
About- Who has not seen the blockbuster Padmavati starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, and Ranvir Singh. Because this is the place from which the stories have been derived. This palace was the reason for the fierce battle between Ala-ud-din Khilji and Raja Ratan Singh. This was the place where Ala-ud-din Khilji was permitted to enter and take a glimpse of Rani Padmini’s face through a mirror placed in the grand hall. 6- Fateh Prakash Palace
About- The palace was built by Maharana Pratap Singh and is the most distinguished structure that is found in the Chittorgarh Fort. The other architectural wonders around the place are of older designs as opposed to Fateh Prakash Palace which is built in modern fashion. The palace housed a museum inside which showcases the history of this palace. The grounds of this palace are decorated with a big Ganesh idol, a fountain, and a manifold of crystal objects. 7- Meera Temple
About- This temple depicts and tells you the story of Rajputana Princess Meera and her devotion and love for her Lord Krishna. About- As the name signifies this palace was the ‘Winter Palace’ for the royal family of Raja Ratan Singh. With a picturesque view and massive grounds, it offers a memorable experience for the visitors. Now the palace is in rundown look but during the old days, it has a significant place in history and was used by the royal family for ceremonies and functions. The palace is located inside the Chittorgarh fort along the Ratneshwar Talab. This is also one of the most popular places to visit in Chittorgarh. 9- Gaumukh Reservoir
About- This place has such importance in the Hindu religion that it is considered that the tour of all sacred Hindu pilgrimage sites is incomplete if you do not visit The Gaumukh Reservoir. The name Gaumukh means “ Cow mouth”, it is named after the water that constantly flows from the natural spring and falls through the ‘Cow mouth’ on the Shiva- linga and an icon of Goddess Lakshmi. You can feed the fishes that dwell in the reservoir or you can visit. The Samadheswar Temple is located nearby. It is one of the best places to visit in Chittorgarh.

10- Sita Mata Wildlife Sanctuary
About- This place is for all wildlife and nature enthusiasts. This is the place where you will see nature in its raw form. The various forms of flora and fauna that are found here are the gems of this beautiful sanctuary. The name is derived from Sita, the wife of Lord Rama. The legend states that during her separation from Lord Rama she inhabited the ashram of Saint Valmiki in these forests. Trees such as teak, bamboo, tendu, amla, and salar rivers Jakham and Karomi and animals such as flying squirrels, spotted deer, wild bear, pangolin, and leopards can be found here. It is known to be one of the most easily accessible places to visit in Chittorgarh city.
